Sonoma County Coronavirus Cases at a Glance (Updated Daily)

County of Sonoma's Roadmap to Reopening (Updated Daily)

Sonoma County is currently in Tier 1 (Widespread - Which means many non-essential businesses are closed.)

California schools have been closed for in-person instruction since mid-March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. School closures to in-person instruction were part of a broader set of recommendations intended to reduce transmission of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. For more detailed direction on measures to be taken when a student, teacher, or staff member has symptoms or is diagnosed with COVID-19, please see the COVID-19 and Reopening Framework for K-12 Schools in California.

Schools may not reopen fully for in-person instruction until the county has been in the Substantial (Red) Tier for two weeks. Local school and health officials may decide to open elementary schools, and school officials may decide to conduct in-person instruction for a limited set of students in small cohorts.

See schools guidanceschools FAQ, and cohorting FAQs.

UPDATES ON MY TEACHING DURING THE CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) PANDEMIC

Dr. Sundari Mase, public health officer for Sonoma County, has extended the stay at home order. In light of this, I've made the decision to cancel all of my private classes and workshops through to the end of 2020.

Please stay well as I look forward to resuming a regular schedule in 2021.
