Kenn Backhaus ::

born in Beaver Dam WI, attended Layton School of Art in Milwaukee after High School. In 1973 he bacame a commmercial artist and illustrator, receiving many awards including acceptance in the Annual Society of Illustrators Show in New York. But after almost ten years in the commercial industry, he longed to devote more time to painting en plein air.

With many awards behind him, Kenn's work has been in museum exhibitions and featured in many art magazines. He feels strongly about giving back to his profession and teaches many workshops throughout the country.
